Scottish National Tractor Show

The highlights of the event are likely to be the auction and vintage sale on Saturday and the Awards on Sunday. The auction will feature classic vintage and veteran tractors, old farm implements, agricultural bygones and obsolete spares. Already consigned to the sale are more than 120 cast iron tractor and implement seats plus a large selection of old tractors and farm implements. Sunday’s awards are sponsored by Tractor and Machinery and include Scottish National Tractor Show Champion, Scottish National Concours Champion and the hotly-contested New Restoration Award. Over 100 tractors are booked in at present with the judges expecting at least another 150 more before the closing date of 1st September.
The show takes place at Lawrie and Symington Agricultural Centre, Lanark (on the A73 opposite the old race course) on the 24th and 25th September. Opening times are 9am-5pm Saturday and 9.30am-4pm Sunday. The auction begins at 10.30am on Saturday and the Awards start at 2pm on Sunday. Adults £5, under 14’s free of charge.
