Monster.co.uk Forms Alliance with eBay
Published August 18th, 2005
Monster.co.uk has launched its biggest ever partnership with eBay to provide The Monster Recruitment Centre on ebay.co.uk. eBayers will be able to purchase individual job adverts at a discounted rate using Monster’s Post-a-Job solution. The deal has been designed to drive a significant proportion of jobseekers and recruiters to Monster.co.uk.
Successful eBay Power Sellers operating as small businesses often require additional staff, for both permanent and temporary positions. Monster’s Post-a-Job and The Monster Recruitment Centre provide advice, giving small and medium sized businesses access to the same candidates as bigger, more established companies.
“There are over 10,000 people in the UK who make their living, or a significant part thereof, trading on eBay. The Monster Recruitment Centre will enable this community of Power Sellers to streamline their recruitment for a more simple and efficient process,” said Pat Connolly, Head of Strategic Partnerships for eBay.
By setting up The Monster Recruitment Centre, eBay’s small business community can take advantage of the benefits of Monster’s powerful and cost-effective hiring tools. The Monster Recruitment Centre includes a resource section where employers can access information on screening, selecting, training and retaining the right employees. This acts as a guide to businesses, ensuring they make the right recruitment decisions. Recruiter traffic will be directed through to the eBay landing page while job seeker traffic will go straight to the Monster homepage.
“The partnership is already operating successfully in the US and both companies have now joined forces to work together,” comments Alan Townsend, Regional Managing Director for UK and Ireland. “eBay wanted to expand on the services it offered its community and Monster’s Post-A-Job and recruitment advice provides them with the basis to do this.”
