If you’re a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, here’s your chance to get your hands on an original piece of Buffy memorabilia, as Anthony Head auctions off his Giles glasses.Anthony, who lives near Bath, attained cult status playing Rupert Giles, Buffy’s Watcher who poses as Sunnydale High School’s librarian. The smooth talking Gold Blend man of the 80s wore the glasses throughout Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s seven-year run.And now they’re up for grabs in a worldwide online auction, together with a letter of authenticity, signed by the man himself.

The auction’s in aid of the Theatre Royal Bath’s egg appeal, which aims to build a unique youth theatre and arts space.

Once built, the egg will allow the Theatre Royal Bath’s Education Department to offer a year round programme of theatre and performance, including workshops, training opportunities, work experience placements, curriculum-based projects in schools and community settings, a stage for touring productions, and a thriving youth theatre.

The egg appeal aims to raise the £2.25 million to create a theatre for the future linked to the Theatre Royal’s main house and innovative Ustinov Studio.

The Theatre Royal has already raised £1.3 million but needs support to raise the rest of the funds.
