EBay sends users on treasure hunt

Published September 8th, 2005

eBay.co.uk has launched a treasure hunt competition, in a bid to drive more users to the online marketplace.
Starting this week, any eBay user who buys or lists a product on the site gets to enter the ‘eBay Treasure House’ microsite.
The site then presents users with a selection of items, and asks them to choose the five items which they think are the most valuable. If they pick correctly, they are awarded with prizes that include a Peugeot 1007 and free flights for a year with bmibaby.
