Royal Welsh Cob Sale Report

Record prices were once again achieved at this year’s annual 3-day Royal Welsh Cob sale, held at the Royal Welsh Showground, Bulith Wells on the 14,15,16th of October, 2005.This year’s sale featured over 750 breeding stock and a further 100 performance animals were offered for sale by Brightwells Auctioneers, with a gross sale total of £682,630.The event is regarded as the largest auction in the world of registered Welsh cobs Section D, Welsh ponies of cob type section C and their part breds, and again attracted hundreds of buyers from all over the world.With an international following, a total of 34 animals were sold for export, attracting buyers from Germany, Holland, Norway, Sweden, France, Denmark, Belgium, finland, Netherlands, Norway and the Czech Republic with a total of 34 animals sold for export.
