Ticket touts could cost clubs
Published October 25th, 2005
WELSH rugby bosses have threatened life bans for “ticket touts” after tickets for international games allocated to rugby clubs were found for sale on auction site eBay. Tickets distributed by two rugby clubs, Gorseinon and Cilfynydd, for the high-profile clash with New Zealand on November 5, were yesterday discovered for sale on the website, alongside a number of unauthorised hospitality packages. Online traders are cashing in on the lucrative black market in Wales tickets, which has been accelerated by this year’s on-field successes.
