Online Rugby ticket touts action taken

Published October 26th, 2005

The Welsh Rugby Union is to take action against seven clubs after it claimed international tickets issued to them were put on sale on the internet.
The WRU named the clubs as Aberavon, Blaenavon, Caldicot, Cilfynydd, Cwmgwrach, Gorseinon and Resolven.

The WRU has been campaigning against what it calls ticket touting.

One pair of tickets was for sale for £2,000 on one website before the Grand Slam decider against Ireland in March.
