Drambuie auction exceeds expectations

An auction of Scottish art, described as the greatest to come on the market for a quarter of a century, has “exceeded expectations”.
The first day of a sale of items belonging to the MacKinnon family, which owns the whisky liqueur-making firm Drambuie, generated £2.6m.

Ikea to bring jobs to Ireland

The Swedish retailer Ikea has announced it wants to build a major outlet near Belfast, creating 400 jobs.

George Best shirt expected to fetch £5000

Best’s Northern Ireland shirt and a jersey worn by local hero Jimmy Johnstone are to be auctioned by former Scotland star Willie Morgan.
