UK Bird and Poultry auctions return
Published January 4th, 2006
Poultry and caged birds are going back on sale at a Lancashire auction for the first time since a UK ban was lifted.
Clitheroe’s Fur and Feather Market was affected by the EU-wide restrictions introduced in October to prevent an outbreak of bird flu.
The UK ban was lifted by the government in December following consultation with organisers of bird fairs.
