David Seaman to help Rotherham United

Published March 1st, 2006

Former England and Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman is to auction off one of his shirts to help save Rotherham United football club from bankruptcy.
The club must raise £1m in the next few weeks, or they will go bankrupt and drop out of the Football League.

Seaman, who is from Rotherham, is to sell one of his Arsenal shirts on the internet auction site eBay.

Earlier this month, Sheffield United offered to pay the wages of their players currently on loan at Milmoor.
