Three men arrested on suspicion of theft of a Sabaru Impreza car from Manheim Auctions

Three men were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle following an operational follow involving the force helicopter and dog handlers early this morning (Wednesday May 10, 2006).
Police spotted the Subaru Impreza, which was stolen from Manheim Auctions in Aston Vale the previous day, travelling along The Portway at 12.25am. The vehicle’s description had also been circulated to officers in connection with theft from a car in Stradling Road in Lawrence Weston half an hour earlier.
The vehicle was followed to Greenway Bush Lane, off Coronation Road, where officers arrested three men who had fled on foot, assisted by a police dog.
Sound equipment stolen from the car in Lawrence Weston was recovered.
All three men, aged 25, 22 and 21 and from the Hartcliffe and Bishopsworth areas, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. The 21-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle. They are currently in police custody.
