Huddersfield hotel fails to sell at property auction

The Old Golf House Hotel in Outlane (estimated value £3 million) was one of 45 lots up for auction through property specialists Colliers Commercial Real Estate.
The sale in London failed to attract enough bidders to push the plush venue over its multi-million pound reserve.
The Old Golf House is set out over lower ground, ground and first floors.
It is set within 3.7 acres.
The property includes a hotel bar, lounge area, the Grange Moor restaurant, conference facilities and a five hole pitch-and-putt.
Speaking before the auction Simon Riggall, head of auctions for Colliers CRE said there had been interest and they were hopeful of a sale.
Speaking after the auction Mr Riggall said: “Although it didn’t meet the reserve there were a number of interested parties and we will be following these up and speaking to people to see if a suitable arrangement can be reached.”
As well as the hotel the sale included a 17-storey towerblock in Nottingham and an old RAF control tower.
