Cricket fans who missed out on Ashes tickets have hit back with vengeance, in a double internet assault on scalpers and rival British fans.
Local fans are furious that many seats reserved for Australian Cricket Family subscribers fell into English hands.
Yesterday they set out to punish greedy touts and stop any more tickets heading overseas by sabotaging internet scalping efforts with exorbitant fake bids.
More than 1000 Ashes tickets were available on eBay yesterday, but dummy offers of up to $500,000 for $100 standard tickets forced sellers to withdraw their sales.
