AN airport courie allegedly stole £500,000-worth of passengers’ belongings then flogged them on eBay, it was said yesterday.

The Gatwick worker allegedly stole from cases he was paid to return to owners for 2½ YEARS before he was arrested.

The self-employed man, who is said to have stolen clothing, jewellery and camera gear, is now on police bail.

The man, in his 40s, was held after a family called police when four cases were returned minus items worth £4,000.

Police studied CCTV and arrested him on a Gatwick perimeter road.

Ebay, which classed his wife as a “power seller” because she flogged so much, have suspended her account.

Express Couriers, who employed the man, said “he no longer works here”.
