Shropshire Auctioneer dies in motorcycle crash

A well-known 56-year-old Shropshire auctioneer who had a passion for cars and motorbikes has died in an horrific road accident near to his home.

Richard Allen, of The Old Vicarage, in Ditton Priors, died when his bike was in collision with a Land Rover on a quiet village road near his home. The incident happened at 9.15pm last night.

Mr Allen was an auctioneer with Halls, the fine art specialists, in Shrewsbury.
