eBay’s move into online classifieds expected to boost sales leads for car dealers.
ebaymotors.co.uk, the UK’s busiest showroom, today listed the first Classified Ad listing by a dealer on the site. eBay’s expansion into the familiar paper-based classifieds format has been widely welcomed by several of the UK’s largest dealer groups who are keen to exploit this rich online trading territory.
As part of the new Classified Ad service, eBay introduced a new bulk listing tool called ‘eBay Motors Pro’, that allows car dealers upload their stock for sale quickly and easily in front of the site’s 3.7 million* potential buyers.
eBay’s new Classified Ad service gives dealers an opportunity to substantially increase sales leads, given a vehicle already sells every minute and a car every two minutes through eBay’s Auction-Style and Buy-It-Now formats.
