Estate agent’s The Venmore Partnership has generated sales in excess of £6m from its latest property auction.

More than 400 people attended the event at the city’s Marriott Hotel, which was overseen by Cathy Roberts - the UK’s first female property auctioneer - and Phil Furlong, a partner with The Venmore Partnership.

In total, 88 properties went under the hammer, including commercial, development opportunities, investments and vacant houses.

A development opportunity in Wallasey had a guide price of £550,000 but sold for £850,000, while an investment property of five flats in Wavertree had a guide price of £250,000 but went for £360,000.

The auction’s £6m sales total was £2m more than the previous Venmore event in September.
