Wannabe Rock musician for sale on eBay
Published December 8th, 2006
A WANNABE rock star whose instruments were seized is selling himself on the internet in a bid to get them back.
The Manchester Evening News told how musicians living at Langdale Road, Victoria Park, Rusholme, had been silenced by the council, who deemed their efforts were `anti-social’.
Thousands of pounds worth of guitars, mixers, drums, amps, speakers and stereos were seized in the `noise raid’, following complaints about the high level of it coming from the property.
The council is demanding £800 for the release of the equipment, but the four residents can’t afford to pay the fee. And after their town hall protest fell on deaf ears, Stuart Hampton has decided to sell himself in a bid to get the housemates’ underground bands back on track.
The hard-up psychology graduate has put himself on internet auction site ebay for £1,000, for which he promises `all kinds of perks’
