Venmore property auctions break £30m barrier

THE Venmore Partnership has broken through the £30m barrier for auction sales in 2006 following its final sale of the year.

The latest auction at the Marriott Hotel Liverpool, raised more than £2.8m, taking the total for the year to £32m.

In total, Venmore held seven auctions during the year with 65% of the 548 lots offered being snapped up.

They achieved the following sales: £3,304,850; £5,014,250; £4,756,000; £5,245,250; £4,282,000; £6,571,000 and £2,837,000, making a total for the year of £32,010,350.

Cathy Roberts, the UK’s first female auctioneer, who oversaw the final auction of the year, said: “It’s been a hugely successful year with a lot of strong and competitive bidding. The average attendance at our auctions has been in excess of 400 people.”
