Merthyr Crown Court heard how Wayne Withers, along with wife Lisa, used eBay to run a business selling counterfeit DVD films.

The couple sold their DVDs - copied from illegal versions or their own Disney collection - under a number of user names, claiming they were originals.

In jailing Wayne Withers, 38, for 16 weeks, his Honour Judge John Curran said: ‘The fact is that you were running a business, something of a cottage industry.

‘You were producing them and it has a degree of sophistication about this.

‘These offences are not victimless crimes, they cause immense damage to legitimate industry.
