A Beatles album signed by all four members of the band has been sold at auction for a record figure.

The signed copy of Meet the Beatles was presented as a gift to George Harrison’s sister, Louise, in 1964.

Louise put the lot up for sale on internet auction site itsonlyrocknroll where it sold for over £58,000. According to Gigwise, bids started at £25,000.

John Lennon wrote on the album, ‘To Lou, many love from John X’, whilst Harrison wrote ‘To Lou with love from Brother!!’.
