Lady Diana memorial concert tickets removed from eBay

eBay may find it harder to convince the live music industry that it’s hard to stop online scalping because of logistic problems with monitoring so many ads, particularly after it managed to remove all those offering tickets for the July 1 Lady Diana memorial concert.
The site had dozens on sale, some at more than five times the £45 face value, but they were soon taken down. U.K. papers reported a spokesman for eBay saying, “In view of the unique and commemorative nature of the Concert for Diana event and as a mark of respect for the memory of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, eBay has decided to not allow the re-sale of tickets to this event on the site.”
