The contents of Chester House, one of the oldest and most historic houses in Wimbledon, will be sold without reserve at Bonhams in Knightsbridge, London, on 16 January 2007. Prices will range from £30 – 6,000, and 20% of the net proceeds will be donated by the sellers – who have sold the house and are relocating – to The Eve Appeal, a UK registered charity funding pioneering research into gynaecological cancers.

All the furnishings of this charming property were handpicked by the owners during an extensive restoration and refurbishment project overseen by English Heritage. All the items to be sold at Bonhams reflect the house’s elegant style, and combine desirability with practicality in keeping with the demands of 21st century family life.
