Hertfordshire Police are putting a £4,000 Cartier watch up for auction.
Hertfordshire Constabulary is about to put the watch, its most expensive item of property, on sale at Bumblebee - the online police auction site.
The force is one of 14 across England to use the site to dispose of lost, found and recovered items of property.
The watch, which will go up for auction from Sunday, is valued at more than £4,000 and has a reserve price of £2,500 - but bids will start at £1,000.
Carol Rouse, administrator for Bumblebee Auctions, said: “The watch has been professionally serviced and has a warranty which lasts for a year.
“Other items in the auction include children’s bikes, toys, digital cameras and mobile phones.”
