More than 500 lots of surplus equipment will be sold at the first of two Multipart auctions on the firm’s Pilling Lane site in Chorley this Saturday, March 3.

The vehicle spares and logistics industry is relocating to a new, state-of-the-art, facility at Buckshaw Village.

A second public auction will be staged in late March prior to the company’s final departure from Pilling Lane to make way for more than 400 houses.

A spokesperson said: “Considerable interest is expected in the sale and in some of the unique items that are on this long established site.”

Local and national companies, as well as former employees are expected at the first sale when the lots will come under the hammer of Stockport based auctioneers, Ascott Clark.
