UK Councils advised how to use e-auctions

New guidelines will help councils get the most from e-auctions after they’ve been shown to cut the cost of goods and services by as much as 50%.

Published by the Regional Centres of Excellence Procurement Programme, ‘How to be successful in e-auctions’ aims to share the latest best practice and legal advice with local authorities.

Steve Holland, Director of the RCE Procurement Programme, said, “At a time when councils are facing tough financial challenges, e-auctions can dramatically cut the cost of some commodities to help protect front-line services.
