Ofcom delays next 3G auction

Published May 28th, 2007

UK telecoms regulator Ofcom has postponed a new 3G auction which would likely raise 2 bln stg, the Times reported.

Mobile companies had complained that the auction was premature and badly thought out and the regulator acknowledged that the ‘wide range of issues’ raised necessitated further consultation, the paper wrote.

The sell off has been pushed back to 2008, from later this year.
