Cumbria collectables wanted for auction

Published May 29th, 2007

Auction firm Warwick and Warwick is visiting the county next week to offer valuations of old postcards, stamps, coins, cigarette cards and medals.

Experts will also give advice to collectors on how to sell their treasures.

The company says many people do not realise that collections of old picture postcards, especially street scenes with trams, early motor cars and industrial views, could be valuable.

Auctioneers will be at the Swallow Hilltop Hotel, London Road, Carlisle, from 9am on Tuesday, June 5.
