Albion gets £10m eBay ad account
Published May 30th, 2007
Ebay has appointed Albion to handle its £10m advertising business after a final shootout against Mother. The account moves from Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners, which did not repitch.
The online auction site called the review last month and originally shortlisted Albion, Mother, WCRS and Saatchi & Saatchi. However, WCRS and Saatchi & Saatchi were eliminated last week (MW last week).
The review came just six months after the appointment of Carolyn Mamagh as marketing director. She replaced Simon Darling, who left the company in September last year to run his own digital consultancy.
DLKW has handled the account since 2004 and developed the “Buy it. Sell it. Love it.” strapline. PHD, which handles eBay’s media planning and buying, was unaffected by the review.
