eBay India Takes On JK Rowling In Delhi High Court

Published June 8th, 2007

eBay India has accused Harry Potter author JK Rowling of spreading misinformation about the company, and has filed an application with the Delhi High Court, accusing Rowling of “misusing judicial orders by giving an impression as if the court had made scathing remarks condemning the role of the company” reports the Indian Express. The court has not commented in the May 31st ruling, and the case will come up for hearing again later this year.

Apparently, Rowlings agents had come across pirated copies of books from the Harry Potter series at eBay owned Bazee.com in 2004, and filed a lawsuit against the company.
