New eBay TV ads

eBay, the online auction site, is launching a new television campaign during ITV1’s X Factor.

The campaign is the first work produced by creative agency Albion, which won the business in July and showcases real time auction listings.

The live TV 10 second executions will continue to use the animated eBay people, developed by eBay’s previous agency Delaney Lund Know Warren (DLKW). This is combined with a direct feed to the website.

The ads were handled by media agency PHD and the technology was provided by BD Network.

BD Network head of digital Drew Burdon said: “It’s been a fantastic project to work on with eBay, Albion and ITV. It has been great to actually help bring this creative idea to life. Our history of working with eBay and integrating with third parties mean we have the experience to meet the technology challenge, but to put live data into TV adverts breaks new ground even for us.”
