North American auction house, RM Auctions, is holding its first British sale at Battersea Park on October 31st, in association with Sotheby’s. In addition to Bernie Ecclestone’s 50-strong collection, RM Auctions has announced the addition of two further collections, namely a selection of cars from the stable of businessman Giuseppe Prevosti plus 15 examples from the Brazilian collector, Abba Kogan.
The 20-strong Prevosti collection ranges from one of the earliest Ferrari road cars, a superb 1953 Ferrari 212 Inter, to the Lamborghini Miura P400 of 1967. Two Bizzarrinis, a 1965 5300 BA4 GT America and a 1966 5300 GT Strada, will also be offered. The outstanding German items in Prevosti’s collection are two early 1956 Porsche 356s.
The 15 cars from the Abba Kogan collection include a 1922 Hispano-Suiza Boulogne and two Delages, a 1927 GP 1500/8 and the 1936 3.0 D6; plus one of the last Delahayes ever made, the 1950 235 MS.
