Google Denies Interest in UK Spectrum auction

Google emphatically denied on Sept. 20 that it is interested in bidding on 3G spectrum that the U.K. may put up for sale. Ofcom, the British telecom regulator, announced on Sept.19 it was considering a spectrum auction as early next year and press reports immediately circulated citing Google’s interest.

Two works by Francis Bacon are expected to go under the hammer for a combined £25million, Sotheby’s revealed yesterday.

UK Job losses over eBay auctions

Nine council workers have lost their jobs for spending too long on the internet auction site eBay.
Three were sacked and six resigned after managers at Neath Port Talbot council found some staff were spending up to two hours a day on the website.
