A selection of rare and collectable items from toy firm Corgi have been auctioned in the West Midlands.

Nearly 600 items, including limited editions and pre-production prototypes, were offered to collectors at the auction hosted by Bonhams in Knowle.

The catalogue included models based on film and TV favourites including James Bond, Batman, Star Trek and the puppet series Captain Scarlet.

A Corgi spokeswoman said some of the items had been in storage for 50 years.
