West Ham football memorabilia makes £1100

Football memorabilia made £1100 at a recent sale at Stacey’s Auctioneers, in London Road, Leigh.

A collection of West Ham United official handbooks dating from 1922 to the 1950s beat its pre-sale estimate of £150.

Five of the seven handbooks were issued to the individual football club managers and carried their names in gold embossed letters.
