Ford Escort Rally Car Makes £89,500

At Bonhams’ sale of collectors’ cars at Race Retro, Stoneleigh, on Saturday 15 March 2008, the Bjorn Waldegard 2007 East African Safari Winning 1972 Ford Escort RS 1600 Mk 1 Saloon sold for £89,500. This is a world record auction price for both a Rally Ford Escort and for a Mark 1 Escort.
