Well-known television celebrity art and antiques specialists from Bonhams Auctioneers – Eric Knowles and Mark Oliver - will be visiting Edinburgh and Glasgow later this month to hold valuation days for Art Nouveau and Art Deco items. The service is entirely free and without obligation.
Eric Knowles and Mark Oliver will join Bonhams’ Scottish Directors Neil Froggatt and Gordon MacFarlan on:
Monday, 21st April, 10am – 3pm at 21/22 Queen Street, Edinburgh Tuesday, 22nd April, 10am – 3pm at The Beacon, 176 St Vincent Street, Glasgow.
Appointments are necessary to help keep the queue to a minimum and each member of the public is requested to bring along a maximum of four items to be valued. For large items or special collections, Bonhams would be happy to arrange a free home visit.
Appointments should be made through the two local offices:
Edinburgh saleroom on 0131 225 2266 or katherine.macdonald@bonhams.com
Glasgow office on 0141 223 8866 or susan.bouwens@bonhams.com
Bonhams consistently achieves high prices in Scotland for works of art, including an Aesthetic Movement cabinet, which sold for £11,000 at the Design 1860 to Present Day sale in Edinburgh in 2007. In another design sale last year, also in Edinburgh, a sculpture by A. Frilli was sold for £7,000.
