Sir Kyffin Williams Work Featured at Welsh Paintings Sale April 26th

Rogers Jones & Co Welsh Paintings Sale will be held at The Salerooms, Abergele Road, Colwyn Bay on April 26 at midday.
A collection of of nearly 20 oil paintings and watercolours by Sir Kyffin Williams could reach up to £500,000. Recognised as one of the most influential Welsh artists of the 20th century, interest in the work of the acclaimed Anglesey-born artist, has increased, since his death 18 months ago.
Auctioneer Ben Rogers Jones said: “The works (by Sir Kyffin) are sourced country-wide and are from different periods in his career.
“There has not been as many Sir Kyffin Williams oils in one auction in recent times or possibly ever. They range is estimates from £15,000 to £40,000 so we are hoping for a record-breaking sale.”
There are over 300 paintings in the sale, in total, viewing is on Friday 3-6pm and Saturday 10am-12.15pm.
Catalogues cost £7.50 and for every one sold £1 will be donated to the T Gobaith Children’s Hospice in Ty’n Groes near Conwy.
