Lord of the Manor of Cottesbrooke Auction

Bids between £5,000 and £6,000 are expected to become The Lordship of the Manor of Cottesbrooke when it is put up for sale in London later this month.

A spokesman for Manorial Auctioneers said: “The new Lord or Lady of the Manor will be able to use the title on their passports, cheque books and credit cards.

“They will also be eligible for membership of the Manorial Society of Great Britain, founded in 1906, whose governing body includes the Earl of Shrewsbury and Talbot, the Earl of Shannon, Lord Sudeley and Sir Desmond de Silva QC.”

The auction for the title Lordship of the Manor of Cottesbrooke will be held at Stationers’ Hall in London on May 20.
