UK Asparagus Auction
Published June 1st, 2008
This year’s Asparagus Auction at The Fleece Inn, Bretforton, was a success despite bad weather.
Around 400 people attended the event, raising around £1,300 for the Bretforton Silver Band.
“The auction managed to raise just under £1,300 which was a great success given the weather, and there was a degree of camaraderie among those in the marquee. “Auctioneer Colin Jelfs was doing his thing and is getting better at it every year. He’s been the auctioneer for as long as I’ve been here, which is six years, having taken over the role from his father before him.”
