C S Lewis Narnia Books Raise £34,000 for Oxford Church

Narnia Books given by C S Lewis to his former secretary Walter Hooper made £34,000 at auction.
Lewis former secretary Walter Hooper, gave the books to the Oxford Oratory Church of St Aloysius in Woodstock Road for its renovation appeal.
The books far exceeded the original estimate including signed first editions which sold for record prices. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader raised £10,625; The Horse and his Boy £10,000; and The Last Battle raised £9,375. Eight other books raised a further £4,000 in total.
