Lost Beatles Tape Auctioned for 9,800 pounds

A lost tape of Beatles recordings that contains not only the lyrics but has also recorded the band’s jokes and giggles in the studio sold for £9,800 pounds at Cameo Auctioneers in Midgham, Berkshire Tuesday.

A spokeswoman for the auctioneers said an internet user had made the successful bid online. It had been expected to raise between £8,000 and £12,000.

The reel-to-reel recording tape, believed to have been recorded in 1964,contains John Lennon and Paul McCartney-composed songs as well as versions of other artists compositions.
