Silver Coins for Yorkshire Auction

Five rare silver coins found on the outskirts of York during World War II are to be sold at auction on 16th September 2008 in Tennants specialist Coin Sale.

The Coins show images of Johann Georg I, elector of Saxony dated 1612, Archduke Leopold of Austria as count of Tyrol dated 1632, Emperor Ferdinand III dated 1643, Emperor Leopold I dated 1694 and Maximilian II Emanuel, elector of Bavaria dated 1694.

These five coins are to be sold as a single lot with an estimate of £500-£800.
