Princess Diana Wedding Cake Auctioned

A 27-year-old piece of wedding slice of cake made to celebrate the wedding of Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles has been sold for £1,000 at an auction house in Gloucestershire.
The auction organised by Dominic Winter Book Auctions also included a the letter from the Prince and Princess of Wales and a bottle of royal heritage beer produced to mark the birth of Prince William in 1982.
Chris Albury, from the Auction House in South Cerney, said: “We have seen numerous small pieces of official presentation cake slices from this wedding over the years but this piece is altogether on a different scale.
