Medieval Sculpture of Christ Auctioned

The early 15th Century alabaster sculpture sold for £7,500, excluding commission, at Dreweatts Auctioneers in Nottingham on September 25th

Richard Madley of Dreweatts said it was an unusual find: “I knew it was rare as soon as I saw it.

“Nottingham sculptures just don’t turn up that often - especially in cosy country cottages,” he said.
