Titanic & White Star Auction Oct 18

The last remaining survivor of the Titanic disaster is selling her mementoes at a Henry Aldridge & Son Auction on October 18th Commencing at 1.00pm.
Millvina Dean, 96, hopes to raise more than £3,000 by selling the items at auction, including rare prints of the Titanic which have been signed by the artists along with compensation letters sent to her mother by the Titanic Relief Fund. She has been living in a nursing home in the New Forest and needs to raise money to remain living there.
The Titanic, then the world’s largest passenger ship, sank on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York with the loss of more than 1,500 lives.
