Lalique Vase Auctioned in London

A vase bought for £1 at a car boot sale has sold for £32,450 at a Christie’s auction in London.

The vase was a 1929 work Feuilles Fougeres by the renowned French designer Rene Lalique, 5in high and was made by an ancient process known as cire perdue.

Rene Lalique was born in 1860 and was a major contributor to the Art Nouveau movement.
