A Vintage Rolex Submariner is whipping up a storm at Birmingham based auctioneers Fellows & Sons.

On Monday 19th January 2009, Fellows & Sons will be auctioning a Vintage Rolex Submariner, model number 5513 with movement calibre 1530.

rolex-submariner.jpgLaunched in 1962 and produced through to June 1990 the Rolex Submariner 5513 model is one of the longest continually produced references in Rolex history. The 1500 series of movements are thought to be one of the best ever created by the luxury brand. Not to mention saving 007 and Solitaire from certain death in the Bond film ‘Live and Let Die’, it is no wonder that the 5513 model is considered one of the most collectable Submariners.

Also featuring in this Wrist & Pocket Watch auction is this vintage Submariner’s modern counterpart, an 18ct gold gentleman’s Rolex Submariner, model number 16618. Estimate £4,500 – £6,500.

The Wrist & Pocket Watch auction has over 400 hundred lots which can all be viewed on their website at www.fellow.co.uk.
