Kray Twins Memorabilia Auction Takes Over £100,000

The top lot out of a total of 144. was for two pairs of cufflinks which had belonged to Ronnie Kray, which made almost £15,000
Photographs signed by actress Patsy Kensit, This Morning presenter Fern Britton and musicians Barbara Streisand and Mark Knopfler sold for a total of £1,310.
An oil painting, Crucifixion,by Ronnie, sold for £4,800, while another made £3,200.
The late artist Francis Bacon’s signed and typewritten letter, dated 27 September, 1989, to Ronnie that briefly thanked him for the receipt of a drawing, sold for 7,400 pounds to an anonymous Internet bidder. The material, offered without reserves or estimates, had been entered by an anonymous “very close friend of the family,” said the west London auction house.
Chiswick Auctions Spokesman William Rouse said: “It was extraordinary, and there’s been an extraordinary group of people in the sale room.
“The interest has been phenomenal from the beginning.”
